My Story:
Hi, I’m Yinka, Nice to meet you!
I was born in Nigeria and raised mainly in California. I am the youngest child of a family of 6 (my parents and 3 siblings). I’ve always loved being creative, my mom always tells me she knew I would have a big personality because I showed it even when I was a baby.
I did a lot of acting and was involved in Theatre back in High School and my first few years in College. 2 years after graduating High School, I started working with a faith based non-profit that allowed me to explore other forms of the Arts. I got to sing, perform Spoken Word poems, as well as Act, and eventually I had the opportunity to travel and perform all over the United States & Internationally.
After parting ways with the non-profit, I transitioned into working as an Eligibility Social Worker with my County and I was there for over 9 years, but I had desperately missed having a creative outlet all these years, so last year I made the decision to get back into doing the things I love and jumped right into doing VO and have had a blast the past year doing Audiobooks, Commercials, Promos, Corporate, E-Learning, Video Game, etc. I WAS EVEN NOMINATED FOR VOICEOVER NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR at the One Voice Awards 2022!
Things have gone so well that I have recently been able to leave my day job and now I am doing VO full time and loving every moment of it!
Whether it’s an Audiobook, TV Commercial, E-Learning Narration or Video Game, I can be the right voice for your project!
